    Book a KLM/Air France worldwide special by 6 September from just £279! Valid for travel until 16 December, depending on destination. Minimum stay is a Saturday night, maximum stay is one month.


    Thai International Companion Offer

    Thai International’s companion offer can be booked up until 30 September for travel until 9 December in Economy, Business or First Class. Fares start from just £450 per person in Economy Class. Both passengers must travel together on the outbound and inbound journeys.


    Middle Eastern Fare Promotion With Alitalia

    Promotional fares with Alitalia to Amman, Beirut, Damascus, Tehran and Tel Aviv in Economy Class, valid for sale until 20 September, for travel 1 October to 14 December.  Fares from just £109 plus taxes.  Minimum stay requirement is a Saturday night.


    Eurostar “Print At Home” Functionality

    Eurostar’s “print at home” functionality gives travellers the opportunity to print off boarding passes from the office or home via www.eurostar.com, providing a quicker and easier travel solution.  The “print at home” boarding pass has a bar code which can be used at check-in gates at all terminals.  If the “print at home” functionality fails to proceed, travellers can still collect tickets/boarding passes from an e-ticket machine or at the ticket desk in the station.


    British Airways Club Europe Update

    Many fares in Club Europe are now fully flexible with no change or refund fees and quite often, Club Europe is cheaper than a fully flexible Economy ticket!  There are now even more benefits when flying British Airways Club Europe, including more productivity and more benefits:  Passengers can enjoy priority security lanes; free wireless broadband in BA’s UK and selected European lounges; a dedicated work zone in the Galleries Club lounge at Heathrow T5 and T3; a separate onboard cabin where travellers can work in privacy; priority disembarking after landing; a generous baggage allowance; complimentary food, refreshments and newspapers in BA’s lounges and complimentary refreshments and a menu from an extensive bar on every flight.


    New East Midlands Airport Hotel

    Rezidor Hotel Group has revealed plans to open a Radisson Blue hotel at East Midlands Airport, making the new property their fifth UK airport location.  Just half a mile from the airport terminal, it will have 208 rooms and eight suites when it opens at the beginning of 2012.  Standard Radisson Blue features include courtesy wi-fi and fitness centre and indoor swimming pool.  The hotel will also feature a bar/lounge, restaurant, coffee shop and conference and event space of 750 square metres.


    New Ritz-Carlton For Hong Kong

    Ritz-Carlton will make a magnificent return to Hong Kong when it opens the world’s highest hotel in the city in early 2011.  The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, occupying floors 102 to 118 of the international Commerce Centre in Kowloon is now reaching completion.  An outstanding venture with 312 guest rooms all providing spectacular city and harbour views.  Club room guests will enjoy the panoramic Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge with complimentary food and beverages, a dedicated Club Concierge, work stations, meeting rooms and wi-fi throughout.  Six dining venues are highlighted and the rooftop bar will be a truly stunning venue with views over Hong Kong.  The hotel also features a fully equipped fitness centre and an indoor pool.


    Lyon Airport Rail Link

    Rhône Express is the new rail link between Lyon city centre and Lyons-Saint Exupéry Airport which opened this month.  The new railway is expected to transport more than one million passengers per year, with a journey time between the airport and city centre of just 30 minutes.  The service will operate 365 days a year.  Trains will run at 15-minute intervals during peak periods.

    New Route From Stansted To Salzburg

    Air Berlin is starting a route between Stansted and Salzburg from 2 December.  Flights will depart Stansted at 1410 on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 31 March.  The airline will also be offering free transport for ski equipment on the route, 20kg baggage allowance, allocated seating and free sandwiches and soft drinks.  One-way fares start from £34.


    Latin American Airlines Reveal Merger Plans

    Lan of Chile and Tam of Brazil have announced plans to merge.  The two carriers plan to combine a new company, Latam Airlines Group, that would include Lan and its affiliates in Peru, Argentina and Ecuador as well as Tam.  Both airlines will continue to operate under their existing brands, but as one group.  The combined group will operate to more than 115 destinations in 23 countries and operate a fleet of more than 220 aircraft.


    Ipads Come Free At Amsterdam

    KLM is now offering an iPad courtesy service to premium passengers at its Schiphol Airport Crown Lounges.  Each iPad is kitted out with a wealth of apps and interactive games as well as some of KLM’s in-flight entertainment.
